LIFEFORM

2026

LIFEFORM is a living sculpture: a hand-sculpted ceramic shrine housing a computer that perpetually evolves artificial life. Each creature is written by an AI running entirely inside the sculpture, cast as light onto a glazed screen, and judged by a camera. The life is the light itself, living in the glaze. The screen is not a terminal but an environment, held in an endless loop of locally sourced code, clay and circuits.

Everything is local, but I extracted the first two weeks of generations and creted and interactive visualizations of them here.
